Our Learning Journey
Our learning journey is based on the soundest principles of pedagogy, educational philosophy, and brain research. Our learning community encompasses our school staff, teachers, administrators, parents, and students. We all have a common goal and speak a common language.
Curriculum
Core West College is a learning community that provides high-quality education for children from the Early Childhood Stage and Kindergarten to Senior Year, serving the needs and well-being of the Egyptian and global communities.
Our K-12 standards standards- and competency-based curriculum offers relevant learning opportunities to describe what our students should know and be able to do in relation to established criteria and how students apply and transfer their learning to new contexts and situations. We provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare our future graduates for development, employment, and entrepreneurship.
We offer a broad education based on:
- The British Cambridge Curriculum
- American Curriculum
- Egyptian National Curriculum
Early Childhood Program
Our unique Early Childhood Program gives the chance to our children to explore, learn and build new experiences every day through play and enjoyment. We design skill-based programs that ensure a smooth transition with adequate knowledge and skills to the upper grades.
Assessment
When used effectively, summative and formative assessments for learning can highly impact our students’ learning journey. We can bridge where a student currently is in his/her learning and achievement and where he/she wants to get to. Using advanced technological tools for assessing students’ interests, area of development, and readiness will help teachers refine their teaching practices and make that giant leap in making their students excel and reach their potential.
